The Infinity Symbol and Brain Balance

I have been going through files in my office, as I often do. It's fun for me to find information that I forgot that I have. Usually the files contain handouts from numerous workshops that I've taught at Adult Education, hospitals, holistic centers, networking groups and more.

I uncovered the drawings seen in this post. They are from an adult education program that I was teaching on the topic of brain hemisphere integration and muscle testing. A volunteer offered that she felt she had lost her creativity. I had her draw the infinity symbol - see the original picture to the right. Wow. The small circle on the left, which went to her right brain hemisphere indicated that she was indeed blocked.

I was able to muscle test her to the age when the decreased creativity began. I kept the release simple with Frontal/Occipital Holding and visualization. Back in present time, I had her draw the symbol again.Look at the difference! This took place in about 10 minutes.

Tracing an Infinity symbol is powerful and will integrate the brain hemispheres.

  • Play with the size;
  • Use colored pencils if you wish;
  • Trace with your right hand on the pencil or pen;
  • Trace with your left hand;
  • Trace with both hands on the pen;
  • Follow the tracing with your eyes;
  • Close your eyes and use the muscles of your eyes to trace the symbol.
  • Use your hips to make a figure 8.
  • Experiment and have fun with this symbol.
  • Tune into how you feel before and after.

Releasing Generational Patterns

 Everyone has generational patterns that pass along the DNA. How could you not when you look at the ancestral math chart. It's rather overwhelming when you realize how many stories you carry around from many cultures, experiences and stored emotions.

When there are negative family thought patterns or past abuse, prejudice, negative actions, trapped emotional patterns and more, the flower essence I recommend is Boab. This flower essence is in the Australian Bush Flower essence collection.

The enormous Boab tree has a fascinating Doctrine of Signatures. Often, there are young Boab trees growing around the original tree in a circular pattern which speaks to the family enmeshment pattern that the essence helps release.

Also, when the beautiful white flower has died, the tree continues to hang on to it which is often what happens with family patterns.

When I address generational patterns with my clients, I make sure to state that it's important to address the issues without pointing fingers and placing blame. None of us wake up with a spread sheet with all of the beliefs, fears, challenges, etc., that have been passed on for hundreds of years. Ian White, founder of the Australian Bush Flower essences gives affirmations for Boab:

"I now release and clear all negative conditioning and family traits from my psyche."

I create my own reality which is free of all persecution and abuse."

I now choose to fulfill my own destiny and not my family's"

The Empath Oracle Cards

My clients who do not muscle test or dowse often ask me how to get answers to their questions when they feel blocked. Great question. Intuition doesn't always kick in when there is stress or conflict going on.

I love to go to my card decks - I have many - when I want answers for myself. Some of the card decks I use every day and others I use when I'm drawn to them. Today I used The Empath Oracle cards by Steve Wilson & Michelle Motuzas. I simply asked for clarity without being any more specific.

I got the Beginnings card.

When I receive a card, I go to the book that is included to read more guidance about the card. Insight often comes more from the questions that are asked in regards to the topic. My questions today were:

"Am I excited about what can be filling my new beginnings with the love that it deserves? Has my fear  made it difficult to experience a chance at a new beginning? What are my fears about this situation and can I choose to embrace the fear and do it anyway?"

I recently had a reading with a wonderful, experienced card reader. She kept getting the author card for me. My response was, "been there, done that." The thought of marketing, not writing, brought up uncomfortable feelings. Maybe I need to sit with my Beginnings card today and reflect on why I might be avoiding a possible new experience.  Hmm.

Release Built-Up Energy and Emotions

 Regardless of the modality you choose for healing your physical, mental, emotional and/or spiritual body levels, there is going to be old energy and trapped emotions wanting to get out. The more I incorporate Block Therapy (see my post on July 24, 2025) into my daily self-care routine, the more release I am getting. I feel space in my ribs, I experience shaking while blocking a particular muscle and I definitely have had emotional releases. It is all a good sign of healing.

I also particularly like incorporating a flower essence with any modality that is supporting letting go of energy and built-up baggage. The Purifying combination essence from Australia is a wonderful support. Included in the combination is:

Bauhinia for being open-minded to change;

Bottlebrush for letting go and feeling a sense of calm;

Bush Iris for awakening spirituality and physically supporting the lymphatic system;

Dagger Hakea for clearing the liver and gallbladder and opening to forgiveness;

Dog Rose for kidney support, anxiety release and building confidence in yourself;

Wild Potato Bush for freedom when feeling weighed down.

As always, I like to suggest ordering the Australian Bush Flower Essences from www.southernherb.com

Flower Essences for Caregivers

I am seeing more and more of my friends and family stepping up to the role of caregiver. This is not exclusive to caring for elderly parents, it is also supporting loved ones who are physically challenged because of surgery, a progressive disease or other difficulties. Many of my friends are also holistic health care providers and deal with intense emotional situations. And, included in the caring role are moms. It is the best and hardest job that we can have.

Regardless of what caring may look like for you, we can agree that it can be exhausting physically, mentally, emotionally and/or spiritually. The weight of responsibility is overwhelming.

The Australian Bush flower essence that I recommend and give to many of my professional friends is Alpine Mint Bush. Ian White writes in his book, Bush Flower Healing:

    "The healing quality of this essence is to rejuvenate those                 people in service or who care and take responsibility for other         people."

The feedback that I get from those who are taking this flower essence is:

"I finally got a good night's sleep."

"I feel a sense of calm."

"I am realizing how tired I am and I am setting boundaries."

"Could you make me another bottle of the essence?"

Ian White lists the positive outcomes when taking Alpine Mint Bush as: revitalization, joy and renewal.

It's HOT, HOT, HOT!

 This year in New England, summer came early with temperatures in June reaching the 90's and on June 24th, the temperature was 102 degrees! By June 28th, the temperature was 65 degree. Adjusting to wide temperature shifts is difficult and the heat can create serious physical body responses.

Heat Exhaustion symptoms to be aware of:

  • Weakness
  • Dizziness
  • Excessive sweating
  • Nausea
  • Headache
  • Rapid Pulse

Heat Stroke symptoms to be aware of:

  •  High body temperature above 104 degrees
  • Confusion
  • Agitation
  • Rapid pulse
  • Slurred speech
  • Loss of consciousness

An Australian Bush flower essence to have on hand is MULLA MULLA. This essence is made from the plant that is found in the desert in Central Australia, the hottest part of the continent. The Doctrine of Signatures of this plant speaks to Mulla Mulla being used for physical and/or emotional recovery from intense experiences caused by heat, burns and fire.

Taking the flower essence, will help rejuvenate your body and release trauma(s) associated with heat, the sun, sunburns, radiation and fire.

I order the Australian Bush essence stock bottles from Southern Herb:

Block Therapy

I have recently purchased the Block Therapy Starter Kit ( www.blocktherapy.com ) to address more fascia and pain release in my body due to being an athlete most of my life. I chose sports that resulted in various injuries: gymnastics, freestyle skating, ice dancing, skiing, windsurfing and more. On top of that I have had several brain injuries. I will be turning 71 in a week and I am still very active and know that this program will keep me fit, agile and able to keep up with my grandson! I have my season ski pass already and can't wait to see how block therapy improves my skiing.

Vagus Nerve Deck

 I recently found the Vagus Nerve Deck with 75 exercises to reset your nervous system by Melissa Romano. This is well done and I am not only using the vagus nerve deck cards for myself but also include the cards and information with my clients.

Included in the deck of 75 cards are three categories of exercises: Vitality exercises; Calm exercises for relaxation and Connection exercises to feel a deeper sense of attunement with self and others.

Daily, I pick a card from each category and proceed to incorporate them into my day. The first card I chose was "focus on the exhale", which is interesting since I am doing Block Therapy (I will cover this in the next post) and the focus is on the exhale! I love synchronicity.

New Favorite Healthy Options

I love to gather information about health: physical, mental, emotional, spiritual.  Before passing the information on to others, I experiment with it first or do more research, if necessary.

I have been using Zero Acre oil - www.zeroacre.com - for many months now, replacing seed oils. It is made with rain-fed sugarcane plants from South America. The sugar is converted to oil through fermentation and then tested for purity. I personally love the taste and the lightness of the oil compared to olive oil and avocado oil, which I still use.

In a previous bog I mentioned TeaMotions teas - www.teamotionstea.com . I am still in love with the teas, the herbs and adaptogens added and have been giving the teas as gifts.

I am a big fan of Zen Basil seeds and have upgraded to their Zen Basil BioHack Protein with Zen Basil seeds, hemp seeds, flax and black seeds. I put it on and in everything from soup to muffins to anything that I bake.

www.zenbasil.com

My latest experiment is with ENERGYbits - www.energybits.com -  algae nutrition. These are expensive and I have started with a small bag of RECOVERYbits, Chlorella tablets to strengthen my immune system, remove toxins and support overall wellness. I have chewed the tablets (not bad at all!) and swallowed them. Both are recommended as well as adding them to a smoothie or other food source.

 I truly believe that as you choose to improve and heal one aspect of your life, the rest starts to fall into place.

Thoughts for Today

 Life has been a bit overwhelming lately. I have plenty of tools for stress and use them quite often and today I wanted a new approach. I went to my bookcase and pulled out the book, Start Where You Are, by Meera Lee Patel. I opened to a page that I am finding quite helpful. It is simple and powerful at the same time. Take some time to consider the list below. What do you discover?

The title of the page is: List Your Sources of the Following:

        HAPPINESS

        LOVE

        COURAGE

        FRIENDSHIP

        STRENGTH

        LAUGHTER

What Puzzles Have Taught Me

I have been doing puzzles since I was a kid. I love all kinds of puzzles: number puzzles, word puzzles, jigsaw puzzles. And, the work I do as a Behavioral Kinesiologist involves discovering and solving challenging patterns in the brain - much like puzzle pieces  - that are holding someone back from moving forward  on their path.

I find word puzzles, where I have to take a jumble of letters to form a word, the most challenging. Often, I keep putting the same letters together expecting to get the right word! Huh. I have learned to simply walk away for a few minutes or longer and voila,I see the word almost instantly.

Isn't this a wonderful and simple way to solve problems that life throws at us? Step away, clear the mind and return with a new perspective.

              "A puzzle a day keeps the brain at play."

The Benefits of a Vibration Plate

Look what Santa brought me for Christmas this year! It's a vibration plate that I've been researching and wanting to try. I have been using it daily for a couple of weeks. Slowly I've increased the vibrational frequency and experimented with the different foot position: walking, jogging, running. I've added squats in the different positions and tried knee lifts. Balance is still a challenge for me on the plate.

What are the benefits of a vibrational plate?:

  • Increased muscle strength;
  • Improved balance;
  • Increased circulation;
  • Improved lymphatic circulation (lymph needs movement);
  • Possible weight loss with increased metabolism;
  • Healthier endocrine system;
  • Decreased stress levels;
  • Increased cerebral spinal fluid circulation;
  • Pain relief (My low back pain has decreased and some days I have no pain).

As always, you may want to check with your doctor, physical therapist or any practitioner who is supporting your health, to determine if this is right for you. There are risks with any exercise depending on your current health status.

For someone who needs to increase circulation and is challenged with walking or balancing, the vibration plate can be used while sitting. I've tried this technique and I can definitely feel the benefit!
