The Empath Oracle Cards

My clients who do not muscle test or dowse often ask me how to get answers to their questions when they feel blocked. Great question. Intuition doesn't always kick in when there is stress or conflict going on.

I love to go to my card decks - I have many - when I want answers for myself. Some of the card decks I use every day and others I use when I'm drawn to them. Today I used The Empath Oracle cards by Steve Wilson & Michelle Motuzas. I simply asked for clarity without being any more specific.

I got the Beginnings card.

When I receive a card, I go to the book that is included to read more guidance about the card. Insight often comes more from the questions that are asked in regards to the topic. My questions today were:

"Am I excited about what can be filling my new beginnings with the love that it deserves? Has my fear  made it difficult to experience a chance at a new beginning? What are my fears about this situation and can I choose to embrace the fear and do it anyway?"

I recently had a reading with a wonderful, experienced card reader. She kept getting the author card for me. My response was, "been there, done that." The thought of marketing, not writing, brought up uncomfortable feelings. Maybe I need to sit with my Beginnings card today and reflect on why I might be avoiding a possible new experience.  Hmm.

Possible Questions for Muscle Testing

Information to be gathered with muscle testing is endless. Below are a few suggestions to consider for use with your pendulum, sway test or any muscle testing method.

ALWAYS ASK PERMISSION TO TEST, WHETHER YOU ARE TESTING YOURSELF OR SOMEONE ELSE.

Questions you might ask:

Do I have permission to ask this question?

Am I asking the right question?

Do I need to ask anything else?

Is it best to participate in this?

Is it highest and best to share this information?

Will there be any negative repercussions from following this guidance?

Is this the best choice for my life purpose or soul's progress?

Is this reasonable and in alignment with my morals and values?

Do I need a second opinion?

Is this in my scope of knowledge?

Is there an easier way to do this?

Is this something I need to let go of?

Is this for me to be involved with?

Is it safe for me to test today?

Is there a body level that needs my attention: physical, mental, emotional, spiritual?

When testing food choices, I use a scale of 1 - 10, 10 being food is almost like medicine for your body. Since your body's needs are always changing, it helps to test foods periodically to see what is best at the time.

Questions for Self-Care

Part of personal care and support is making sure that you have a strong "discernment meter" in order to recognize who or what is right for you and who or what is not.

Some questions to ask yourself as part of your self-care awareness:

  • Is this something I should participate in?
  • Is this someone or something I need to let go of?
  • Is there an easier way to do this?
  • On a scale of 1 - 10, how important is this?
  • Will there be negative repercussions from following this guidance?
  • Is this in alignment with my morals and values?
  • Is this the best choice for my life purpose or soul's progress?
  • What is my "little voice" telling me?
  • Is this choice for my highest and best?
  • Could I do things differently?
  • Do I need more support?
  • Do I need to set more boundaries?
  • Am I minimizing the importance of this?
  • Do I need to step away from the situation in order to discern?

The book, A Whack on the Side of the Head by Roger von Oech was first published
in 1983 and was used in companies as a creative tool for brainstorming. When I bought this book it also came with The Creative Whack Pack - 64 cards with different strategies and questions for creating new ideas.

Examples:

What would Walt Disney do?

How do you reverse the way you look at your idea?

Where should your focus be?

What can you take less seriously?

Can you visualize yourself reaching your objective?
